The thread is located here https://www.ar15.com/forums/Handguns...nds/13-193065/

I didnít see anyone asking why the extractor plunger is in backwards. Makes me wonder if there had been modifications?

Regardless, it was a kaboom, could have been a squib or a bad round. Most threads Iíve seen on this have lots of people talking about how many rounds theyíve fired with xyz gun without a kaboom. I think thatís BS - I shot competition small bore growing up, Iíve fired countless rounds of really expensive match (Eley) ammo through the highest quality rifles made and I have seen kabooms happen during a match. They can happen with any gun.

Iím disappointed the slide cracked but the failure is an unusual and extreme event.

Is the slide composed of plastic? If so, Glock might be replacing them for free in a recall or class action. That should have been picked up in a pre-manufacturing torture test or their supplier gave them out of spec raw materials to manufacture the slides. IDK

Slide is a mix of polymer and steel to lighten it enough to cycle .22lr the problem is why are the rounds exploding?
