I can't feel any difference in recoil between the 17 and 19. If there is any it is extremely minor. There would be some difference between a 19 and your 17c because of the compensation but it's still not much.

My wife prefers shooting the 17 however that is the model she learned to shoot with so it may just be what she is used to. If your friend is having too much trouble getting her hand around the grip and to the trigger, she may want to consider a 43x or 48. The 48 is the same size as the 19 except it is a single stack - meaning the bullets are in one line in the magazine. This allows for a much thinner gun. It's not a gun I would want to shoot a competition with but is a good self defense gun.

I have a gen 4 and gen 5 g19 and neither has the wear marks show in the pics. The gen 5 only has about 300 rounds through it but the gen 4 has well over a thousand.

Also the gen 5 has and Overwatch drop on trigger with a flat/flat face and I like it! It removed some of the pre-travel and a crisper reset. Trigger face and pre-travel is where I was looking for improvement and I'm very pleased with this purchase. Well worth the $70.00

Thanks Gaz. How come I haven't been hearing much feedback on Lenny Magill's GlockStore? I learned about him on YouTube and see that his store specializes on Glock upgrades/accessories.

I decided to buy a back up extractor for Frank, (Gen 3 no loaded indicator) from Glockstore. Everything went well until a day after my online purchase went through I received an email that the part was not in stock and it would be months before it is expected to be restocked !

They say my order was cancelled, we shall see when my credit card bill comes in.
