    New to Glock Pro

Hi fellow Glockers. I started my career 1980 as a USAF Security Policeman. I retired in 1995. During my USAF career and stationed at Lackland AFB, San Antonio Tx.

I attended the police Academy. While still in the USAF, I worked for Converse Police Dept as a reserve police officer, still with a full commission I patrolled the streets of Converse Tx.

Converse Tx, is just northeast of San Antonio. USAF stationed me in the UK, at Upper Heyford RAF, England for 2 years.

USAF decided to retire some of us at 15 years will full benefits. Keeping this part short, I couldnt stay away to long from police work. A year after I retired I started working for University Hospital, Department of Protective Services / Bexar County Hospital District Police Dept., as a Police Dispatcher. The real name for University Hospital is Bexar County Hospital District. We are the County Hospital for the Bexar County.

Hope I dont have you confused. Our department has two departments, one, Department of Protective Services is the Security side of the department. Our security officers control entry into the hospital and clinics all over SATX.

Bexar County Hospital District Police Department is just over 26 years old. I have served over 23 years, with two more years to go, and retire with 40 years in Law Enforcement. I cant believe almost 4 decades in police work, I have loved every minute.

Our clinics, about 40 are scattered all over SATX. We come across everything just like San Antonio Police Dept does.

13 or 14 years ago my Chief call me into the office. He told he wants to start our Firearms Department and wants me to head it up. For my partner I pick my partner and friend Pete, we both shoot alot, both love to teach everything about shooting.

We started basic Firearms Instructor Training, Pete was carrying his Glock 22, 40 S/W Gen 3. Me I was carrying my Sig P226 40 S/W. On the 3rd day, Pete said lets switch pistols, we did. All I can say is, Love at first round fired. Love I tell you, I fell in love with the Glock 22 40 S/W, well maybe it was the 3rd or 4th round, but for sure that first magazine fired was True Love.

The last two days of training I brought my own Glock 22 Gen 3, 40 S/W, I picked up real cheap from a security officer. If I tell you how much I paid, I'll have you crying.

Pete and I put together a transition course from revolvers to the Glock. Yes we had a knuckled head in the class, dont we all.

From there Ive taught the Patrol Rifle course, that I built and still continue to teach. We are both Armorers for the Glocks, 1911s, 870 & Mossberg shotguns and M4 rifles.

When our new Chief started, during qualification he was having problems with his G22, Gen 2, that I wanted real bad. Anyways he was having a few malfunctions. I corrected him and on the 2nd time telling him to keep the wrist & elbow locked, he yelled back, "I AM" Thinking ah crap I just ticked off my new Police Chief. Well I didnt, but I found his extractor chipped, and old New York trigger was in stalled, replacing a few springs, I asked if he whated to sell his G22 Gen 2. My Chief said, HECK NO, Ive got a new Glock now, "Your my GDoc."

Thats how I got the nick name, GDoc, The Glock Doc.

I have a few Glocks, some where around 43, 44 maybe 45. Anyway a few. Will have to post some pics.

Well fellow Glockers, they say you either Love Glocks or you hate Glocks. Me I'm not a prejudiced person, I love all guns.
