    Sig Talk- Sig P 365

    FYI-

    I'm a big Glock fan, think they are the best gun going, but I do like other guns. One of my Glocks is the G-43, love it; small, points well, lite weight, thin and functions flawlessly. Unfortunately it does not hold a lot of bullets so when the Sig P-365 came on the market I bought one. First time out, the gun failed to go into battery, especially after dropping the slide release on a fresh magazine. The slide pushes the bullet forward and the bullet nose indexes (stops) on the bottom of the feed ramp, jamming the gun. Happened numerous times, sometimes midway through a magazine. So I called Sig and was told it was a common problem with Hornady Critical Duty ammo (what I was shooting) and to try a different ammo and polish the feed ramp. I switched to Sig and Blazer ammo, bought a new magazine and polished the ramp. Same problem. I called Sig again and was told I needed to run 500 or more rounds through the gun to get it broken in. Wrong!!, I am sending the gun back to Sig next week.

    Anyway, here is the funny part, I went on 'Sig Talk' yesterday and posted, very professionally stating, the problem I am having with their 365. I also, in response to another Sig Talk post, responded to a request comparing the 365 to the Springfield 'Hellcat', I own both and obviously am partial to the Hellcat since the 365 does not always shoot.

    So, this morning when I tried to log on to Sig Talk to see if there were any responses to my postings, I receive the following message "SIG Talk- You have been banned for the following reason: Posting unwanted spam. Date the ban will be lifted: Never". The 'banning' provided no recourse, I'm out, I guess.

    Those guys at Sig talk are pretty thin skinned. Got to wonder if my problem is a secret wound Sig does not want opened??

    Love my Glocks, never, ever, experience any type of a malfunction, right out of the box and I own six of them. Can't wait until they come out with a high capacity, thin, mini nine. For now my G-27 and Hellcat will have to do. Too bad about Sig, the 365 is a great gun; small, lite weight, points well, high capacity but does not fire every time the trigger is pulled. That is a serious problem.

    First of all I hate the way you were treated for giving an honest real life problem with the p365 on SigTalk. Let me invite you to XD talk also a great forum just like this one. I'm a big Glock and springfield fan. I have multiples of each. I carried a sig p220 at the police department years ago no problems but know carry glock 22. I had a sig p320 but with all the problems sold it. Also if you google sig p320 you can read about several leo who won lawsuits against sig. Another thought and I could be wrong Glock has never had recall. One of my best friends love sig and has not had any problems with his 365 . Thanks for sharing and stay on them till they get it right. You would hate to need it and it fail on you.

    @DJS - That's really disappointing...

    There are all kinds of forums run by all kinds of people... Banning someone for sharing gun issues in a gun forum seems crazy... That's what gun forums are created for... In my opinion...

    We basically have one rule here... No personal attacks... Everything else is pretty much good to go.

    JB should teach classes on how to moderate! Knows when to give rope and when to yank it.

    As far as Glock never having a recall, that’s a thin line. They have had “upgrades” (back in 1992) and technically the early Gen4 RSA was a recall but that was really minor. The M series had a couple of hiccups really early on but they were easily resolved befor agencies had received significant numbers.

    I don’t know if the G42 issues would qualify as a recall or not. One thing I’d say for and against Sig based on what they told the OP. Glock had problems with Gold Dot on the G42 also (for Sig) that was 2014 (against Sig) - they should have tested Gold Dot knowing someone else had issues.
